Paul G. Helbling

Age 84, of Pittsburgh, on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Son of the late Otto Helbling and Ida Hahn; beloved husband of Gloria Helbling; loving father of Jeffrey (Peri) Helbling, Judy (Steve) Hussein, Kevin (Karen) Helbling and Katherine (Konrad) Lang; grandfather of Lucca, Derin, Steven, Logan, Olivia, Gabrielle, Travis and Max; brother of Joan and Art Helbling; preceded in death by his siblings Louis, Emil, William, Robert, Thomas, Regis, John, Jim and Virginia Jankowski; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Paul served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. He retired after 50 years of working as a golf course superintendent, which was a job he was very passionate about. Paul was an avid Pittsburgh Panthers and Steelers fan, but he also enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and above all, spending time with his family.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 3-8 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM in Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph Church), 825 2nd St., Verona, PA 15147. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
