John A. Prybock

John A. Prybock. Age 81 of Penn Hills succumbed to cancer on February 1, 2017 while being surrounded by loved ones whom he selflessly supported without fail. John was born May 26, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Ruby and James Przybocki and moved to Verona where he attended school and excelled in athletics. He served as a Marine and upon earning an honorable discharge worked for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for 39 years. His work ethic, highlighted by him simultaneously working part-time at Oakmont Country Club (OCC), was only matched by his love and dedication as a husband, father, and grandfather. He never missed a school play or Little League game, personifying devotion to family and a limitless love. Even on the first night of his chemotherapy he mustered the strength to attend an awards banquet for his daughter. John continued to work at OCC following his retirement from the post office while spending time with family and enjoying his tomato garden. His kindness, care, and generosity have touched countless lives, served as a role model to which to aspire, and will continue to live on with his wife, Marilyn, his three children Frank Prybock (Cheryl), Barbara Calfe (Victor), and David Prybock (Karin), as well as his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
