Charles A. Flynn

Charles A. Flynn, Jr. Age 94, of Oakmont passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Beloved husband of the late, Irene Flynn (Krug). Loving father of Donald C. (MaryJo), Robert A. (Jeannie), David J. (Sheryl), Christine (Bruce) Flynn Karhu, and Mary Kay (James) Gandolfi. Brother of Florence Foote and Edward J. Flynn. Dear grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by siblings, Jean Fulton and William A. Flynn and grandchild, Jennifer Flynn. Charles was a lifelong resident of Oakmont and a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. For 37 years, he was employed at Edgewater Steel Company in Oakmont.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Charles was a man deeply devoted to faith, family, and friends. Friends will be received Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4-8 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12 noon in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont, PA. Interment will follow in Verona Cemetery.
