Donald T. Sherrill. Age 88 of Murrysville passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Barbara M. Sherrill. Loving father of Philip (Jamie) Sherrill and Lynn Janosik. Brother of Richard (Anna) Sherrill. Dear companion of Lois Meadowcroft. Grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by children, Wendy and Jeffrey Sherrill. Donald was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in geology and a 1973 graduate of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. He was Pastor of Oakmont Presbyterian Church for over 20 years, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and worked for the Chicago Tribune and Peoples Gas. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, bridge, camping, cooking, reading, and playing the clarinet and saxophone in several bands. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 am in Oakmont Presbyterian Church, 415 Pennsylvania Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139.
