Doris Furlong (Furlong) Moon

Doris Furlong Moon. Age 86, a long time resident of O’Hara Twp, Allegheny County died at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA on Sunday January 7, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wayne V. Moon. Doris leaned on her children, Mark Moon of New Kensington and Lorrie Kasper of Harmony Twp for support through her illness. Living at Concordia in Cabot offered her a new life in a beautiful, comfortable home surrounded by many friends and happy times. In addition to her children, Doris is survived by her sister Mabel Popp of Belle Vernon, cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Friends will be received Thursday, January 11, 2018 at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Interment will be private at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 261 West Chapel Ridge, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 or to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Rd, Cabot, PA 16023.
