Eugene T. Farrell. Age 83 of Oakmont passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017. Beloved husband of Susan Farrell (Pernice). Loving father of Mary Katherine (Marty) Pronio, Megan Farrell, and Christopher (Dr. Kate) Farrell. Dear grandfather of Joseph, Eugene, and Susan Pronio, and Conor and Cameron Farrell. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Farrell and brothers, Joseph, Richard, Thomas, James, and John Farrell. Gene was an alumnus of Central Catholic High School and founding member of its golf team. His love for golf began in Schenley Park where he would play with his father. Throughout the years he became an accomplished golfer and club champion at Churchill Valley Country Club and at Oakmont Country Club, where he was a member for over 40 years. A devout Roman Catholic, Gene was loved by his family and many close friends. Friends will be received Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 4-7 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont, PA. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. A private interment will be in Verona Cemetery.
