John P. Banks

John Patrick Banks. Age 75, passed away the morning of Saturday, October 28, 2017. Beloved husband of Janet Lee Banks (Kuszyk) for 50 years. Beloved father of Christopher (Ann Myers) Banks, Kelly (Nick) Stevovich, and Alan (Deb Frick) Banks. He cherished his grandchildren: Alex, Cami, Olivia, Ty, Anna, Nola, and Ayla. John was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Long Island. He earned a degree in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri School of Mines and worked his entire career of 42 years for PPG Industries in the Glass Division. His passions (other than his family) were golf, painting, cooking, gardening, and tinkering at his treasured cottage. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11 am in Oakmont Presbyterian Church, 415 Pennsylvania Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to Venice Art Center, 390 Nokomis Ave. South, Venice, FL 34285 or to your favorite charity.
