As someone wrote in a card for her 100th birthday, she "epitomized love, faith and all that is good in this life."  Mrs. Hegarty was predeceased by her husband Dr. Francis Hegarty, and her oldest daughter Joan Sauers, as well as two son-in-laws, Harold Sauers and Paul Harrison.  She is survived by Karen Harrison of Hampstead, NC, Patrice Hegarty of Springfield, PA, Gail Fell of Rye Brook, NY and Brian Hegarty of Berkeley Heights, NJ, as well as ten grandchildren, and four great grand children.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont, Pa.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  Interment to follow in Christ Our Redeemer North Side Catholic Cemetery.   Arrangements entrusted to the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave. Oakmont, Pa 15139.  Donations may be sent to Birthright of Pittsburgh (at 160 N.
