Veronica P. Rearick

Veronica P. Rearick. Age 93 of Penn Hills, passed away on October 30, 2017 after suffering a stroke.  She was born in Pittsburgh on May 8, 1924 to Stephen and Alexandria Graboski.  She was married to Melvin Rearick on Nov 8, 1944. After graduating from Penn Hills High she briefly worked for Bell Telephone before devoting her life to start a family.  Veronica was very religious and worked part-time at the rectory at St Joseph Parish in Verona and was a charter member of the Ladies of Charity.  She is survived by her husband of 72 years, her daughter Kathleen (Sanford) of Plum Borough and her son Kenneth who resides in Rio Rancho, NM.  Additionally, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Those that knew Veronica knew she enjoyed crochet everything from Christmas ornaments to prayer shawls but primarily afghans.  The Lord has called his angel home. Friends will be received Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 12-4 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10 am in St. Joseph Parish, Verona. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
