Allen Todd Bankson
Son of Ellis Edwin Bankson and Virginia Brown Bankson, Allen was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 10, 1948. He attended Shady Side Academy and graduated in 1966. He then attended Kenyon College, graduating in 1970. He worked as an engineer in the maintenance-of-way and construction departments for Erie Lackawanna Railway, later Conrail, and later Norfolk Southern, working continuously from 1973 through 2010. During his working years he lived in Youngstown, OH, then Cleveland, OH, then Pittsburgh, PA, then Philadelphia, PA and finally Atlanta, GA. For the last decade, Allen maintained a second home in Aspinwall. Allen is survived by his sister, Joan Procopio, his brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Linda Bankson, his two nieces, Katherine Bankson and Lynn Bankson, and his nephew Andrew Bankson, Andrew’s wife Mamie Thant and their children Thida and Aindra.
