“Bugs”

 

Age 86, of Verona, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Bugs was the loving husband of Marcia D. Bagamery, devoted father of Lynne D. Bagamery, and special uncle of Robert Bagamery, of Port St. Lucia, FL. He was the son of the late Andrew and Teresa Bagamery, and the brother of Steven Bagamery, and the late Andrew, Frank, Anthony, and James Bagamery. Bugs grew up in Zelienople, PA where he participated in multiple sports and excelled in football. He went to the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship and was a proud member of the Pitt Panthers Football Team from 1953-1957, playing in both the Gator and Sugar Bowls. Bugs maintained a close friendship with his Pitt teammates throughout the years. He enjoyed attending Pitt football games and remained an avid fan of Pitt and Steelers football. He also enjoyed golfing. Bugs was employed as a salesman for Fagen’s Lumber Co. in Verona, calling on area home building contractors in the Tri-state area for many years. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 10:00 -10:30 a.m., in Oakmont Presbyterian Church (Friendship Hall), 415 Pennsylvania Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. Services are entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oakmont Presbyterian Church Music Program or to the charity of one’s choice.
