Carol Stiefel Swift
Age 97, longtime resident of Longwood at Oakmont, on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Richard L. Swift; loving mother of Kathleen (Franklin) Wesley of CA, William D. (Laura) Swift of TN, and Robert W. (Jean) Swift of TX; grandmother of six; great-grandmother of seven. She was preceded by her brother John T. Stiefel and one grandchild. Carol was a member of multiple committees and an active participant in events at Longwood. She taught at and retired from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. In retirement, she embraced the opportunity to continue to be a life long learner. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting, playing bridge, and Mexican train dominoes. Arrangements are entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. Interment private at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family plans to host a Celebration of Carol's Life in early December. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Carol's name to Oakmont Presbyterian Church at 415 Pennsylvania Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139, where she was a faithful member.
