Concetta “Connie” Cassano
Of Verona, on November 12, 2025. Preceded in death by her parents Angelo Cassano and Angeline DeSanto; loving sister of the late Carmella (Paul) Scholtz, Anthony (Helen) Cassano and the late Vincent Cassano; aunt of Paula Yobp, Jimmy (Maria) Scholtz and Margaret (Dan) Wertz; also survived by her beloved cat Koogie.
Connie graduated from Verona High School, where she proudly served as a majorette. She and her friends used to reminisce about those days with pride — being majorettes was a meaningful and memorable part of their lives that continuously brought them joy whenever they looked back on their earlier years.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 3-7 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph Church, 825 2nd Street, Verona, PA 15147. A private interment will take place at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Connie’s name to St. Joseph Church in Verona, PA.
