David L. Bash
Age 86, of Verona, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Judith Bash; loving father of Kelly Malena and David (Lydia) Bash Jr.; grandfather of Michael (Colleen) Malena, Toni (Shawn) Loughlin, Dianna (Andrew) Elliott, Harrison Bash, Faith Bash, and Liberty Bash; great-grandfather of McKenna, Amelia, Ada, and Ella; brother of Charles Bash. Dave’s lifelong passion for learning and his interest in science and chemistry took him from a drafting job at Fisher Scientific to Gulf Labs, where he contributed to the patent of a novel polymer adhesive. Ultimately retiring from Chevron’s chemicals division, he was able to spend more time with his wife, Judy, and the grandkids taking long drives, lunching, and snapping photos of the local scenery. Dave is lovingly remembered as a faithful servant to our Lord and by family and friends for his love of sweets, his skills in photography, a quick dry wit, and his extensive collection of Coke-A-Cola memorabilia. The family has requested private arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A graveside Memorial Service so he and Judy can be forever joined will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in David’s memory be directed to your charity of choice. Please share your memories on the English Funeral Home tribute wall.
