The family of Donna L. Gravina is saddened to announce her passing on January 29, 2026. Born on November 27, 1942 to Charles and Ruth Crawford (Cribbs) of Edgewood, Donna graduated from Edgewood High School and went on to earn a degree in elementary education at Clarion State College. She taught third and fourth grade for nearly forty years, making an impact on the lives of the countless students that she treasured.
Donna married her beloved husband Tom in 1966, and the couple celebrated their 59th anniversary in July. They had two children, Beth (Niemann) and David.
Donna lived a life filled with optimism, creativity, and generosity. Above all, she was characterized by devotion to her family. A lifelong educator, Donna spent countless hours with her children and grandchildren, guiding them through crafts, outdoor explorations, outings, and projects of all sorts. She was fully present for her children and her grandchildren, generously giving of her time and attention, and serving as a model of how to live a life of love. Donna encouraged curiosity, a love of learning, and a positive mindset; qualities that she knew would impart a lifetime of growth. Her gentle spirit and ability to listen deeply and provide counsel were valued by all who knew her. Donna was an avid gardener and was a DIY enthusiast long before HGTV made it popular!
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Gravina Esq.; Daughter, Beth (Bob) Niemann; Son, David (Lauri) Gravina; Grandchildren Jackson and Emily Niemann and Maia and Lucas Gravina; Sister Carol Tamarelli; and sister in-law Patricia Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth Crawford and her brother Charles Crawford.
A private memorial service will be announced shortly. Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
