In loving memory of Dorothy "Dot" Morrone, 86, of Verona, who passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022. Dot always had fond memories of growing up on Westmoreland Avenue with her six siblings where she spent many happy hours walking to baseball games at Westinghouse Field and ice skating at Duquesne Gardens. She met her future husband on one of those walks and got married a few years after graduating from Mount Alvernia High School. Dot and her husband moved to Highland Park in 1969 where she was a homemaker and raised five children. She enjoyed singing and dancing, family trips to Cutty’s Campground, and going to Atlantic City with her husband. Dot also loved dark chocolate, weird movies, and sweet wine, but she loved her family most of all and lived her life with pride and grace.  She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Dot is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Gerald A. Morrone, and her beloved children Jerry (Joyce) Morrone, Susie Arraujo, Diny (Martin) Hodge, Donna Jean (Randy) Acierno and Tina (Ed) Bippus. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Albert Jonnet. Services will be held privately for immediate family only.  Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
