Elaine M. Grabowski

Elaine Grabowski, of East Oakmont, age 82, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, August 7 2023, surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 62 years to Chester Grabowski; loving mother of Mark (Patty) Grabowski, and Lynn Botta; grandmother of Matthew (Emily Wirtz, MD) Grabowski, MD, Lauren Grabowski, Kimberly Botta, Kristen Grabowski, and Kelly Botta; sister of Arlene Bragg, sister in law of Richard (Sally) Grabowski; also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoinette and Albert Martini, brother in law David Bragg, and son in law Charles Botta Jr.

After graduating from Sacred Heart High School, Elaine married and settled in Stanton Heights where she started a family, and was social director and President of the Junior Woman’s Club of Western PA. She worked at Sears Central Credit department as a supervisor. She started ACE Mortgage Services, Inc., Oakmont, PA. Upon her retirement, she remained active in working effortlessly to run the Holy Family (St. Irenaeus) Flea Market for 20 years. She was an active member of the Oakmont Women’s Club and Holy Family Ladies of Charity. Elaine had many dear friends and was a well-loved member of the community who touched everyone and made an impact on so many lives. She was always there when we needed her and will be truly missed. 

Friends and family will be received Friday, August 11, 2023 from 1-3 & 6-8PM in English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Church), 387 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. A private interment at Allegheny Cemetery will be held at a later date.
