Frank A. Bencivenga
Age 99, of Plum Boro, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Bella (Gentile) Bencivenga; son of the late Angelo and Carmella (Mannella) Bencivenga; brother of Columbo Emerico (Adeline) Bencivenga, and the late Mae (Joseph) Caggiano, Mary (Jerry) Nardiello, Orlando Benjamin (Jean) Bencivenga, and John Sr. (Carmella) Bencivenga; brother-in-law of Mary Mastroberardino; “Uncle Frankie” to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, whom he loved very much. Frank was a decorated WWII Veteran having been awarded the Purple Heart Medal, 2 Bronze Star Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon, the American Theater Service Medal, and the Bronze Star Victory Medal. Frank was employed by and retired from the former Electric Supply Co., in East Liberty. He was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Visitation and Interment are private and entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Frank’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
