Helen V. Roberts

Helen Victoria Aguzzoli Roberts, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother, entered eternal rest on April 29, 2025. Helen was a life-long resident of Oakmont and a first-generation Italian American. She was an alum of Oakmont High School and graduated from Presbyterian University Hospital as a Registered Nurse. In 1963, she her married her high school sweetheart, John, on her 21st birthday. As a nurse for Drs. Ferguson and Fuscia, and as the charge nurse for several units at The Willows/Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, Helen was renowned for treating both patients and coworkers with true compassion. She was a devout Catholic who exemplified Christian values in her life. Helen enjoyed hosting friends at her porch on Pennsylvania Avenue, cooking, and traveling to visit her children. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents John and Elisa (Martini) Aguzzoli, her sister Dolly (Elias) Albert, and her brother-in-law Samuel Liptak. She is survived by her sisters Nancy (Fred) Federici and Joanna Liptak; her children John Roberts Jr. (Lisa, Brittany); Prof. Daniel Roberts (Renan); her granddaughter Genevieve Roberts; and several cherished nephews, nieces, cousins, and loving friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 3-7 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. Irenaeus Church in Oakmont. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
