James B. Mewhirter. 89 of O’Hara Twp, passed on Friday, September 7, 2018. Beloved husband of Ruth Anne Mewhirter. Loving father of James D. (Jill), David M. (Belinda), Susan L. (Michael) Tag, and Douglas R. (Allyson) Mewhirter. Dear grandfather of Tyler, Travis, Joshua, Cody, Rebekah, Connor, Cameron, and Owen. Preceded in death by his brother Robert Mewhirter. James worked for the Penn Hills School District for 33 years where he was a Director of Guidance, teacher, and basketball coach. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12 noon in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 378 Delaware Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139.
