Jane M. Jakovac
Age 103, of Somerset, formerly of Verona, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Beloved mother of June (David) McCudden; grandmother of Patrick and Corey McCudden; preceded in death by her husband Victor Jakovac, brother Raymond Clark, parents Jean Herman and Raymond Clark, and infant grandsons Keith and Kevin McCudden. Jane served her country as a Navy Wave during WWII. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter and quilter. Her quilts often received recognition in local quilt shows. In her later years, she stitched quilts for charity - cancer units, neonatal ICU, and for the police department/abused children. At The Patriot, she became known as ‘the bag lady” for the little fabric bags that she created to welcome new residents. She sewed every day until the end. Jane also enjoyed golfing at Willowbrook CC. Her favorite saying was “smile and the world smiles with you”. Her beautiful smile will be missed by all of those that she came in contact with. Services are private and entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
