Jane E. Knox

Jane E. Knox. 95 of Verona passed on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born in Harvard, NE to the late James Earl and the late Myrtle May Knox. She was well educated having attended Occidental College in Los Angeles and Stanford University in San Francisco. She obtained both her Master"s and Doctorate in Nursing Education at Teachers College Columbia University in New York. She also had a certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pittsburgh. After deciding to move to Pittsburgh, she worked at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing from 1971 up until her retirement. She also served as a Cadet Nurse during WWII. Services are private and Jane’s final interment will be in Forest Lawn Cypress Cemetery in CA. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing Endowment in Jane’s name or to the Longwood at Oakmont’s SeniorCare Fund at donatenow.srcare.org .
