Joan D. Dudreck

Joan (Daniels) Dudreck Age 83. Passed away quietly on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 with many of her loving family around her. Born in Monongahela, PA: "Joanie" was the mother of Thomas Dudreck (Isabel), Cheri Gmiter (Kevin); grandmother to Matt Dudreck (Jamie), Kristin Barber (Morris) and Andrew Gmiter (Chrystal); great-grandmother to Hannah Dudreck (age 3). She is survived by her husband, Albert Dudreck to whom she had been married for 62 years. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Daniels and her father and mother Howard and Edith Daniels. Her early work as a medical secretary prepared her well for her years as a homemaker. An accomplished bridge player, bowler and golfer at the Oakmont Country Club, Joan loved to travel and meet new people. She accompanied her husband on his many business trips around the world. For many years she worked countless hours as a volunteer in the gift shop in the Westmoreland Hospital. Friends will be received Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 6-8pm and Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-6pm at the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave. Oakmont, Pa 15139 followed by a short prayer service at 6pm. Interment will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Monongahela Cemetery at 10am. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
