John V. Berger

John Vincent Berger, born September 24, 1962, died October 22, 2025.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen S. Berger of Patton, PA and John (Jack) Berger of Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his two brothers, Michael (Leslie) of Oakmont and Dan (Maura) of Wexford; his seven nieces and nephews, Nick (Allie) Berger, Matt (Amanda) Berger, Caitlyn (Dalton) McKeag, John, Ronan, Maryellen and Jiley Berger; and his great nephew, John “Jack” Berger of Pittsburgh.

John spent over 35 years working for Allegheny County in the Labor International Union of North America where he took great pride in his position as well as his coworkers. One of John’s life highlight’s was when he took a trip to Trinidad with his long time partner, Susan to meet her family and to experience the culture of Trinidad. John was an organ donor who has been responsible for three successful organ transplants to this date.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. Irenaeus Church, 387 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a food pantry or homeless shelter in John’s name.
