John C. Lindsay, age 82, passed on May 2, 2026. Born to John and Margaret Lindsay on April 2, 1944, he grew up in Plum where he graduated high school and then joined the Army. He worked 30+ years at Edgewater Steel in Oakmont. John, also known as Jack or Jackie, was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at camp on French Creek. Jack was a big fan of Pittsburgh sports, his favorite being Pitt football. He was known for making the best homemade iced tea, which his family always enjoyed.
Beloved husband of Patricia Lindsay; loving father of Kim (Andy) Bayne, Pam Anderson and Jason (Jennifer) Anderson; brother of Sandra, David and the late Douglas; grandfather of Natalie Bayne, Devin and Dawson Gainar, Caitlyn and Ryan Dougherty, and McKenna, Brooke, Deakon and Ryker Anderson.
Jack was best known by his loved ones as “Jabbitz”. The Jabbitz legacy will never be forgotten due to all the great memories and laughs he provided. Arrangements are private and entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
