Joseph Caruso
Age 82, of Plum Boro, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, in the loving arms of his wife Deborah Caruso. He was born in Penn Hills to Albert Caruso and Philomena Marchionna Caruso. Joe was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and went on to attend the Carpenter Apprenticeship Program. He became a union Master Carpenter and was self-employed throughout most of his life. Joe was the owner of the retail store Caruso Interiors and specialized in remodeling and painting. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1962-1964, and was a member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church in New Kensington. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Deborah; sons Richard Borowski, of Plum, Joseph Borowski, of Plum, and David Borowski and his wife Amy, of Oakmont; 4 grandchildren Mason, Evelyn, Craig, and Dante; his sister Ann Stewart and her husband the late Don Stewart; brothers Albert Caruso and his wife Viki, James Caruso and his wife Carolyn; and sister-in-law Bea Moon. Joe led a long, full life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was proud of his ability to make wine that was enjoyed by all of his family and friends. Joe also enjoyed being a “snowbird” spending time at his condo in Fort Myers, Florida. Friends and Family will be received on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 4-8 p.m., at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 10 a.m., in Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, 100 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, PA 15068.
