Age 91, of Verona, on Friday, October 14, 2022. Beloved husband of Bernice Eicheldinger; loving father of Kenneth (Barbara) Eicheldinger Jr. and Shara (Karl) Klevens; grandfather of Kenneth III and James Eicheldinger, Emily (TJ) Kaplan, and Alison and Sean Klevens; great-grandfather of Charlie Kaplan; brother of the late Francis Eicheldinger. Also Survived by many nieces and nephews. Ken served his country in the United States Army where he retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He also served his community for 30 years as a Police Officer for Verona, where he retired as the Chief of Police. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, singing, listening to Hank William Sr. songs, the Steelers, Pitt Football and Basketball as well as the Duquesne Dukes Basketball Team. Ken loved raising and running his beagles, but most of all he loved his family. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 10 am in Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph Church), 825 Second Street, Verona, PA 15147. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ken’s name to HarmarVillage Care Center, 715 Freeport Rd., Cheswick, PA 15024.
