Lawrence G. Connolly

Age 90, of Verona, on Friday, September 29, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Doris “Dolly” Connolly for 65 years; brother of Daniel (Marlene) Connolly; father of Michael (Dana Fletcher) Connolly, Jeanmarie (Chris) Boda, Susan (Joseph) Fey, Patrick (Frances) Connolly, Nancy (James) Amorose, Thomas Connolly, and Julie (Tony) Rolinski; grandfather of 19: Daniel Trilli, Christina (Ryan) Kruljac, John (Jamie) Amorose, Jennifer Amorose, Steven Fey, John Connolly, Matthew (Lindsay) Connolly, Kelly (Thijs Everts) Fey, Alexis Rolinski, Natalie Amorose, Jaclyn Rolinski, John “Jack” Fey, Jeff Amorose, Anthony “Jake” Rolinski, Samuel Connolly, Nina Amorose, Jared Rolinski, Sadie Connolly, and Reilly Boda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margaret Connolly, and brothers Thomas and Bernard Connolly.

Larry married the love of his life, and they had seven wonderful children. He loved spending time with family and particularly loved fishing “for the big one” with his brother, Dan. As an avid birdwatcher, he was especially fond of hummingbirds and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He brought the outdoors to life for his family, teaching them how to fish, swim, ice skate, and so much more. With a long career as a plumber (Plumber's Union Local #27), he was always ready to lend a helping hand with his expertise in the community. He will be missed by many. Rest in Peace, Larry.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 1-3 PM & 6-8 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:30 AM in Holy Family Parish (St. Joseph Church) 825 Second Street, Verona, PA 15147. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Lawrence’s name to the BrightFocus® Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research (brightfocus.org/MDR, 1-800-437-2423).
