Madeline Schmidt

Age 95, of Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of Forest Hills, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Wife of the late Raymond Schmidt, Jr.; daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Kubesko; sister of her twin Henrietta (the late James) Capano, the late Verna (the late Don) Fess, and the late Adeline (the late Edward) Barlas; aunt to several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Madeline always thanked God for the many blessings she received. She started her career at a private school in New Rochelle, NY and was privileged to serve with the U.S.O. during WWII. Madeline was a member of the Congregation of Saint Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and enjoyed a full and happy life in her retirement at Longwood at Oakmont. In accordance with Madeline’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 387 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. If desired, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Feed the Hungry at feedthehungry.org or to St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.
