Margaret “Peggy” Patterson

Age 83, of Oakmont, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Born April 11, 1937, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Thomas and Kathryn (Kelly) O’Brien. Peggy was married to the late Thomas B. Patterson, her high school sweetheart, for 60 years. Mother to Thomas “Kevin” (Deanne) Patterson of Fort Loudon, PA, Brian (the late Margaret) Patterson of West Mifflin, PA, Kathleen (Donald) Bell of Midlothian, VA, Timothy (Piper) Patterson of Scottsdale, AZ, Bridget (John) Federici of Oakmont, PA, Daniel (Barbara) Patterson of Lebanon, OH, the late Megan (Andrew) Burgman of Plum, PA, and Maureen (Dean) Vought of Plum, PA. Also survived by 34 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Catherine (Thomas) Mckee; and brother Michael (Candy) O’Brien. Preceded in death by her brother Thomas (Donna) O’Brien and sister Cecilia Ann (the late Gil) Jaworowski. Peggy was a graduate of Brownsville High School and later earned a nursing degree from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. Peggy (Nana) will be remembered for how much she loved baking, her front porch swing, starting to play Christmas music in October, a cold Coca-Cola, Hershey’s chocolate, and how much she loved her family. Friends will be received Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 2-6 p.m., at English Funeral Home & Cremation services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., in the Historic Church of St. Peter, 118 Church St., Brownsville, PA, 15417. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Irenaeus Church (Oakmont), The Historic Church of St. Peter (Brownsville), or Meals on Wheels.
