Marjorie Pearson

Marjorie Pearson, age 95, of Longwood at Oakmont, died peacefully in Shadyside Hospital on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Adda Anderson, her husband, Richard K. Pearson She is survived by her beloved sister, Betty Anderson of Longwood and her nephews: Richard A. Anderson (Catherine), of Naples, FL, Bruce Anderson (Margot) of Bethesda, MD. and Alan S. Anderson (Marylou) of Rayham MA. She was a graduate of Wilkinsbug High School and attended Margaret Morris College before becoming a secretary at KDKA Radio. Before retiring she became Secretary to the Manager of KDKA Radio.. She was very active in various church and civic groups. At Longwood, she was involved in many activities, especially her Line Dancing activities. She was a member of the South Avenue Methodist Church of Wilkinsburg. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139. Funeral Services were private and interment was held in the Hebron Cemetery in Penn Hills. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Society or the South Avenue U.M.
