Mary Catherine (Vertullo) Cava

Age 96, of Verona, formerly of East Liberty, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 of natural causes.  Beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Van Horn) Vertullo. Cherished wife of the late Frank Cava. Preceded in death by nine siblings and her dear niece, Dorothy Cavins (Jim). Mary is survived by her devoted sister, Eleanor Donahue, beloved goddaughter Maureen Stagno, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary worked as a salesclerk-turned-model at Gimbels and Kaufmann’s. Mary also cooked meals for the Jesuit priests at Sts. Peter and Paul Church for 30 years. Always  kind and generous, Mary was devoted to her family and had a soft spot for animals. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
