Maureen M. Ketterer
Age 94, of Pittsburgh, on Friday, September 5, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Ketterer; loving mother of Debra (John) Auciello, Richard Ketterer, Thomas Ketterer, Barbara (Adrian) Posteraro and Linda (Craig) Aber; sister of the late Dolores McAllen; proud grandmother of Jon, Bryan (Jazmine), Vinnie, Greg (Deepthi), Devan, Erik, Rachel and Ryan; great-grandmother of Carter, Bryce, Logan and Luca.
Maureen, the matriarch of the Ketterer family, entered eternal rest and is now peacefully in the hands of God.
Maureen’s life was defined by her love for family, faith, and friendship. Family was everything to her—she was a devoted wife, a proud and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a special gift for making all feel welcome, even treating her children’s friends as if they were her own. To know Maureen was to know the warmth of unconditional love.
A devout Christian, she carried her faith in the Lord with her every day, finding strength, peace, and joy in her devotion. She lived her faith not just in prayer, but through her compassion for others. Her career as a skilled nurse and healer reflected her heart for service, caring for countless patients with gentleness and grace.
Maureen also carried deep pride in her Irish heritage, embracing its traditions and stories with passion. She loved traveling with close friends, always eager for new experiences, laughter, and shared memories. At home, she found joy in simple pleasures—planting flowers, losing herself in a good book, Wii bowling with a competitive spark, or delighting in the music of the Pittsburgh Symphony.
Above all, Maureen will be remembered as a loving wife, a loyal friend and a guiding light to her family. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is with loved ones in heaven and resting peacefully in God’s eternal embrace.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 3-7 PM at English Funeral Home, 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.
