Melvin L. Rearick

Age 97, of Penn Hills, on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Veronica Rearick; father of Kenneth (Esther) Rearick, and the late Kathleen (Bill) Sanford; grandfather of 4; great-grandfather of 5. In addition to his daughter Melvin was preceded in death by his siblings Orman Rearick, Reed Rearick, Jean Stevenson, and Jack Rearick. Melvin was a long time employee of AZ Chevrolet in Penn Hills and was a volunteer firefighter for Penn Hills #4 Point Breeze. He was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing bluegrass music.  Friends and family will be received on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 4-8 p.m., at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139, where a Funeral Service will be held, on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Melvin, to Penn Hills #4 Volunteer Fire Dept., 1002 Center Ave., Verona, PA 15147 (Phone 412-828-0690).
