Nancy Jean Federici
Age 90, of Oakmont, passed away on May 15, 2026. Nancy was the beloved wife of over 68 years to Fred Federici. The two were married in St. Irenaeus Church December 1957. She is the loving mother of Michael (Kerri) Federici, John (Bridget) Federici and Paul (Teddie) Federici; survived by her sister Joanna Liptak; preceded in death by her sisters Rose Marie “Dolly” Albert and Helen Roberts, daughter-in-law Bonnie Federici, and grandson Nicholas Federici; proud grandmother of Anthony Federici (Marissa), Brandon (Kathy) Federici, Fred (Mia) Federici, Alexis (Nick) Haftl, Shane Federici, Mia (Sean) Carroll and Noah (Madison) Federici; great-grandmother of Anthony Federici, Maria Federici, Aria Federici, Sonni Federici, Cayde Haftl, Liam Haftl, Ella Haftl, and Kory Kai Federici.
Nancy was a lifelong Oakmont resident and Oakmont High School graduate (class of 1954) and enjoyed hosting many Oakmont H.S. class reunion picnics beginning in the 1990s. She loved being involved in her hometown of Oakmont and neighboring Verona throughout her lifetime. Nancy was also a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and went on to become an accomplished artist and painter. One visit to her and Fred’s Delaware Avenue home would reveal her vast artistic talents. Nancy was a proud business owner of collectables and unique gift shop The Church Bazaar in Verona from 1977 to 2020, and loved welcoming in new visitors and customers to her shop. She was also an annual participant in the Lions’ Club musical performances from 1975 to 2014 which raised money to provide sight, hearing, and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, and many other programs for local residents. Together with husband Fred, Nancy managed the extensive costume acquisition and management for the annual performances. Nancy was a member of The St. Irenaeus church choir, annual choirs’ community carol walk, and Memorial Day Oakmont Cemetery musical program throughout her adult life.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 3 PM to 8 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish – St. Irenaeus Church, 387 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. Everyone please meet at the church. A private interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
