On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Richard C. Manning, age 91, passed away peacefully in his home, in Murrysville. Richard was born on November 26, 1929 to Samuel and Winifred Manning. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948. Following High School, Richard served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He later found his calling with the Penn Hills Police Department where he would serve as both a police officer and detective, and retire after 29 years. He married Lois C. Golobic on September 14, 1957. They would spend 54 years together, enjoying each other’s company as well as their impressive collections of cameras and Santas. Together they had four children, Michael Manning, Karen (Frank) Bursic, Patrick (Corrie) Manning, and Mary (Jay) Petras; seven grandchildren, Juliana (Mark) Mancini, Samantha (Anthony) Pulleo, Alexandra Petras, Hannah Bursic, Jacqueline Petras, Maxwell Manning, and Jacob Manning; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia Mancini, Peter Pulleo, and Emma Mancini. Richard was also happily awaiting the birth of another great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents Samuel and Winifred, and his sister Jane Munson. Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 3-8 p.m., at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11 a.m., in Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Church), 387 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
