Ronald E. Standifur

Ronald E. Standifur, of Oakmont, age 81, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Ron was a beloved husband of 56 years to Nancy Standifur; loving father of Mark Standifur, Colleen (William) Briggs, Kathryn (Clifford) Denholm and Julie (Jason) Kelley; proud grandfather of Kylie, Sierra, Alayna, Riley, Emma, Abigail, Sarah, Caroline and Jonathon; brother of Pat Justice, Bob Standifur and Norma Mitchell; preceded in death by his parents John C. Standifur and Beatrice Fox, his brother, David Standifur, and his sister, Karen Standifur.  Ron was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed playing the guitar, songwriting, fishing, golf, crosswords, cooking, and playing with his cat, Gracie. Ron especially loved spending time with his grandkids and driving them to swim and archery meets.  He was beloved by his family and friends and was like a father to all who knew him. 

A celebration of life is to be held at Oakmont United Methodist Church this summer. 

Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ron’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project or Oakmont United Methodist Church.
