Ruth A. Hodil. 97 of Monroeville, formerly of Penn Hills, passed peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John Hermon Hodil. Mother of A. Russell (Ethelynn) Hodil and Hazel (William) Scarbrough of FL. Sister of Albert and William Smith. Dear grandmother of Devin (Nick) Shuman, David (Darlene) Lang, and Amanda (Nick) Kozinczak. Also known as “Grandma” by many others. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 6-8 pm and Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc, 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139 where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10 am officiated by John R. Hodil. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
