Suzanne Mary Frank
Suzanne Mary Frank, 76, of Oakmont, formerly of Pittsburgh, lost her decade-long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy on March 24th. She was preceded in death by her father and mother John and Angela Frank. She is survived by her loving son, Kevin Jost; siblings John (Mary Jane) Frank, Mary Lou (Ed) Rosenfelder, Rita (Frank) Knaze, and Thomas (Joyce) Frank; honorary daughter Roni Rossi and granddaughter Zen Viorla; and her cats Tiger and Cairo. Special thanks to caregivers Deborah, Icilda, Phyllis, and Brandy. Suzanne worked at H.J. Heinz company for 41 years; was a volunteer for 30 years at UPMC St. Margaret; an animal lover and mother to many cats over the years; was an enthusiastic tennis player and fan (especially of Roger Federer); and was a loving mother, sibling, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Suzanne’s funeral (in Oakmont, at St. Irenaeus) and celebration of life will be held at a later date when social distancing is eased—hopefully in a month or two. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Dr. Edward Burton’s PSP-related research at the University of Pittsburgh’s PIND (Pittsburgh Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases), The World Wildlife Fund, or The Humane Society of the U.S. Condolences, tributes, and memories can be seen and expressed at the English Funeral Home website.
